Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. She then became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also hosted Miss USA's pageant as and the Miss Universe Pageant.
